Worn out words and platitudes,
The more they talk the less we understand.
Shoved around in circles
like pieces of dirt
While the oppressive forces alter
Back and forth between left and right.
We're caught in the middle,
Between a rock and a hard place.
Raise their own salaries,
Increase the gap of social standards,
Between themselves and the people
They're supposed to represent.
Someone please explain!
Tell me where's that welfare-state
That they speak so highly of.
Do we need more people living on the streets
before they'll open up their eyes?
Chose between the lesser of the two evils.
